Looks like a mantis shrimp

Looks like that to me too, looks very cool, but are killers. Big ones can break your finger (i've heard) so don't try pulling it out of his hole with your hand.

ohhhhhhhh boy! I got three of them ! they are not as loud as some people described them to be though!

You're lucky... or not ;) I've got none, but mantis shrimps r so colourfull, I would like to have one in a seperate tank... well, guess u don't live in the Netherlands :D

mantis shrimp are colorfull? then mine are not mantis, they're a dark gray one solid color

Not all Mantis are colorful. I have 2 in my tank that look like yours. They seem to feast on my hermits but other than that i dont really have a problem with them yet. I try to feed them some krill to curb there appetites towards the hermits and it seems to work ok. They are pretty neat to watch and there really fast!

Hmmz.. really can't tell from the pic, but I thought this one was a colorfull one... guess not. Some are though. cool nevertheless unless you have some fish missing every day ;)
