Reef --> FO?

Just curious, I haven't done this, but was just wondering how easy it might be to change a beginning reef setup (without much coral) to a fish only... do you just yank out the LR and add strong filtration on the back or? How does this affect everything?

No need to yank the live rock, just take out any corals that won't survive. You might need to add a filter if the number of fish gets high enough. You'll have to watch ammonia and nitrites as you add animals.

the LR IS a bilogical filter...it process waste similarly to a filter in that it colonizes bacteria, different bacteria at different oxygen levels...keep the rock...if you have a skimmer use that...and get some "left-handed hermits" to clean up the fish dung bertoni gives good advice
