Hermit crabs?

Are hermit crabs good for anything other than hair algae? Can snails do the same work as hermits, and if so which ones? Mine are getting bigger and knocking stuff over.

turbos and astrea snails are great for hair algae, just be careful if adding these snails with your hermits in there, especially if theyre getitng big, bc they will attack your snails and kill them for their shells. if you are gonna make the switch i would try removing most of the hermits and selling them back to your LFS
