Do you put glass tanks on any special pad like on acrylic tanks?

my tank it on 2 by 4 support beams only, just make sure its all level, some people use pads but I think they are a pain, and they get all messed up over time

i've heard of using a sheet of foam to make the tank self level when full, not sure how well it works. don't think it's required for acrylics. as far as supporting glass, just make sure the 4 corners of the tank are well braced and you'll be fine.

Best advice I can offer is make sure that the bottom frame of the tank is taking on the the wieght of the tank EVENLY. Example would be if you set a 55 gal on a table and you had gaps due to the table not being true then that could result in failure. For galss tanks I dont think it matters as long as whatever it is sitting on is true.
