Are you asking about the white-spotted hermit? If so here is some info:

Scientific name: Dardanus megistos
Classification: Phylum: Arthropoda. Class: Crustacea. Order: Decapoda. Family: Diogenidae
Origin: Native
Status: Uncommon
Distribution: All the main islands of hawaii; seldom above depths of 150 feet

This white-spotted hermit crab is the largest hermit crab in Hawaiian waters and can reach body lengths of up to 12 inches long. The left claw is larger than the right. They are often found living in a triton trumpet shell.

no, the dealers tag on the display tank says "white reef hermit" i assume its where they were caught - i hoped that it might be a specific type of hermit, but i have not been able to find any info. they were pretty small (about 3/4" with the shell) and a light brown.
