tempered glass or not

Can anyone tell me if a tempered glass is drillable? does anyone know if a 40long glass tank is tempered or not? I was thinking this would be a good size sump/refugium for a 180RR oceanic tank.

No, you cannot drill tempered glass. Usually it is the bottom of the tank that is tempered, not the sides. It may be marked somewhere on the bottom but usually not. If its not marked, assume its tempered and don't drill it.
