That's a frogspawn (euphyllia divisa). They're such great corals.

What kind of care do these need?

they are pretty hardy corals. mine thrives under PC's. My two percs also host it.

My Frogspawn goes in it's echto skeleton sort of at night. Is that normal, how does a clown host in them if they go in at night?

I know my clown get's ****ed at my bubble when it decides to deflate every now and then.

Watch out for the bubble. m clown pair almost killed it. by trying to host it.

My clown was hosted to my xenia until my frogspawn killed the xenia. Now the clown stays in the frogspawn.
Mine is under 2x65 watt pcs and its growing fast.

Im still waiting for my clowns to host in my BTA, they also dont seem interested in my xenia nor my (have heard they host in) colt. I would love a frogspawn, didnt know they were able to host in those guys too?!?

I heard xenia grows like crazy. I love it but only have a 36gal. Can you control it?

Sure you can be like Triterium and just have your frogspawn kill it if it gets out of its designated area hehehe :)
Yes it does grow like a weed under good conditions, quite honestly I have the same question as in a few months I could see the xenia start to get outa control in my tank.

I was lucky enough that when i got these two percs that some one was parting out they were hosting Xenia. I have Xenia in my tank, but they perfer frogspawn. I know that most clowns dont host it and to move from one to the other is weird i think.
The xenia does propagate quickly under the right conditions, just frag it to get rid of it rather then have it spread all around your tank

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that Euphyllia corals require calcium and carbonate supplementation, as well as regular feeding, in order to do well in the aquarium. If you haven't been testing Ca and Alk, I suggest starting at some point, moreso if you want to keep more stony corals in the future.
