Came Home to a Mess!

I have had a terrible time with Cyanobacteria the past month so I decided its time to add some Red Slime Remover. I cleaned the tank really well and the next morning before I left for work I added some Red Slime Remover. When I got home I noticed the tank water was not flowing and when I walked over to the tank the floor was all wet! My protein skimmer must of kick into high gear after I added the Red Slime Remover and overflowed like crazy. Is it normal for the RSR to kick up the protein skimmer like that?

I do believe it is normal....when ever I use RSR my protien skimmer works over time that's why I turn mine off.

Yes that is very normal. IN fact, the directions tell you to turn off the skimmer.

I'm glad that's normal. The directions didn't say anything about turing off the skimmer. At least I know now in case I need to use it again.
