RO gets about 95% of the impurities

RO/DI gets over 99%.

It depends on your water supply on whether you should get the DI to go with your RO.

Since you're from Ohio, I'm guessing your water is really bad. Just like everything else in Ohio, including and especially
FOOTBALL TEAMS.

Sorry, U of M, OSU fever I guess. If you have the extra money, get the DI. If money is a concern you'd probably be ok without it.

Good luck,

Except for Saturday when Michigan SMOKES them!

Actually I have a feeling this is going to be a great game. Decided by the last drive.

Oh, and to keep things on post. Yeah get the DI.

Get a TDS meter and check the RO only water. If you TDS reads over 5, I would say you need a DI unit.

I'm thinking a TDS meter is about as much as a cheap DI like the tap water purifier.

Why not get the DI. If tap water is good, the cartridge will last forever.

DI should be the last step .. do not drink the DI water, it is supposedly not good for you .. If you have a faucet (I'm assuming you have a storage tank and faucet for the drinking water), put the DI after the faucet hookup on the output line.

I just ordered a TDS meter online for $29 on Wednesday. I saw them online at several online suppliers around the same price. I went with a supplier I have done business with in the past with success.

Yes, we have our Lions and our Tigers.

Fortunately we have our Wolverines, Spartans, Red Wings and Pistons too.

The reason DI water is bad for you is that the DI process sucks stuff out of the water that is good for you!

So DI water is not poisonous to humans or anything. It's just stripped of minerals that are good for humans.
