long story short my 35g tank ammonia level went sky high and would not come down.

i took all the live stock out and brought them to the lfs, so i didnt loose any of them.....thank god!

i drained 90% of the water out of the tank and replaced it.
qusetions are:

1. should i do the shrimp thing again to rebuild the bacteria and do a full cycle?
2. should i leave the bakpac skimmer on 24/7 from now on even during the cycle?
3. some people told me to feed the tank every day, even though there is nothing in there to help with the cycle, should i do this?

any help would be greatly appreciated....

i would of left the tank full of water and waited until the ammonia went to zero and the nitrates appeared......

Fill it back up, do a reading, if there is a detecable amount of ammonia they you are well on your way to start waiting for the cycle to complete.....
