Hiya Guys..

I was thinking about getting 6 or so green chromis damsels. I want something that is really colorful and schools like they do.

I would also like to get a yellow tang, but I have trouble keeping them. This may sound dumb... But whatever yellow tang I buy doesn't make it through 2 months. I feed them bloodworms, romain lettuce, and flake food. Why can't I keep them?

Thanks!

The trouble with green chromis is that they die like flies when you first get them. I bought 3 a few weeks ago and only one survived. This species is often caught with cyanide, which kills most of them. They are cheap and really great fish though.

Yellow tangs need a lot of room to swim. How big is your tank?

first of all i would offer tangs differnent foods, and mainly from marine orgin. bloodworms and lettuce dont come close tothe nutritional needs for the herbovorious fish. go to an Asian supermarket and pick up some dry nori (seaweed) or you can buy it online, its called seaweed selects, or sea veggies, all ocean seaweed. its the best food for tangs.
