My tomato clown's been in my tank now for almost 2 months. All my parameters are good...1.024-1.025 salinity, temp 80, amm/nit 0, nitrate ~10.

Today I came home to notice 3 black dots on its left side. They're not raised. The fish is acting normally, eating normally and breathing normally.

I also have a Royal Gramma in the tank which is fine.

What happened and should I be worried? Sorry no pic as it won't stay still for me to get my camera.

Is there anything in the tank that the tomato might be trying to host in? It is not uncommon for clowns, especially nieve ones, to develope dark blotches when first hosting with anemonies or even corals. What type of inverts do you have?

Actually now that you mention it..it's been "eyeing" my frogspawn lately but it hasn't been in it. It kind of goes near it and beats it with its tail.

Inverts: snails, cleaner shrimp, zoos, toadstool, xenia, various 'shrooms, the frogspawn, GSP

could be the mushrooms that you have in there. My False Perc had it on him for about 2 weeks before i put in a BTA for him to host in he was hanging out around my mushrooms and zoos and I was told it was that
