I have a 75 gallon (with 20 gallon sump). I'm going to get a brittle star of some sort to work the sand bed, but I want another, more colorful reefsafe star, that doesn't bury itself. What kind would you guys suggest?

That tank has been running since May. It has a 4 inch sandbed and about 75lbs of LR.

Orange linkia. As long as you acclimate it very slowly, it is very hardy IMO. The blue linkia is nice as well but I don't think it is as hardy. The nice thing about the orange linkia is that it sticks out no matter where it is in the tank. Nothing like day glow orange to catch the eye... :D

I'll keep those 2 species in mind. Any others of note?

many of the Fromia species are great from what I hear. I have a red linka that's been enjoying life at my place as well. It's quite active and is never hiding; always on the glass.

I was wanting a Linkia star in my future 90, but have read that they could pose a problem for the clam(s) that would be in there. Anyone have any experience with this?
