Can the flow output be controlled with the use of the controller? In other words, can it's outflow be cut to say, one half or one third?
Thanks

with the controller, the flow pulses between two settings of your choice from 30-100%. The pulse interval is controllable as well. The multicontroller and more than one unit allow for some other things as well.

One other question moonpod. I am purchasing a 120 gal 4ft long 2ft wide and 2ft high. I want to cut the flow back enough to keep softies and fish. Can this be done with the 6100's that come with the kit?

The 6100's have all of the same features as the 6000, but they are more powerful. If you are going to get two steams then I highly recommend the multicontroller. The kit that they sell is not cheaper than buying everything separate. So you can use two 6000's on a multicontroller.

Hmmmm...something is not right here. I checked on Marine Depot web site. The 600 is $184. two would be $368 while the kit with multicontroller and 2 6100's was $357. What am I missing?

No way, the kit w/the 2 6100s and the multicontroller is about 7-8 bills. I know the hard way....

You're right. I went to the Champion Lighting website and that is the correct price.

Uhm, in my 180 I've got a 2x6100 on the multicontroller. I've got some dead spots, like right under the streams and in the front of the tank by the streams (they are in each back corner pointing towards the front middle), but the rest of the tank ROCKS. I can't turn 'em all the way up b/c stuff gets knocked over....I just need something small for the front corners.

las, I'm not sure of the flow, but I will only growing softies. moonpod, thanks, the reason I am buying the multicontroller is that I can add a couple in the future if needed. I sent Jason at premium aquatics an email today and am on his waiting list now.

would one of these be ok for making waves in a 125 or do you need to for that

Probably one would work, but I would like to reverse the flow.

Quick comment on Tunze. I have a 120 gallon that I recently installed 2 Stream 6000's with to 7094 Multicontroller. I places the Streams in the back corner and aimed them at the opposite controller. I set on at about 40% and the second at 60% ( 5 second pulse) .

These pumps are awesome! I've fooled around with reef tanks quite a few years and spent way to much money on products that came nowhere near living up to their claim. Tunze Streams are the exception.

The nice thing about the controller is you have so many possible setting combinations that you can sry several to finfd whats right for you.

One other note, I'd been battling a hair algae outbreak on a couple of rocks and was having to clean the front glass every couple of days. Since I increased my flow significantly withthe Streams, the algae on the rocks are receding and the glass cleaning is reduced to a very light film that needs cleaning once a week.

Of you have halides be prepared for some pretty good glitter lines.

One not of caution- I used a horizontal mount ( my tank is Euro braced) and placed one pump all the way down the rail and the second pump about halfway up on it's mounting rail. When this pump cycles on high flow it would form a vortex and suck air. Mount them low!

On the cost, I bought 2 Streams, controller and mounting kit for arount $730. If you buy them you will not be dissapointed!!!

thanks for the reply. I have already placed my name on the waiting list with Jason at Premium Aquatics. I ordered the faux rock to hide the pumps. my 120 should be delivered next week. I am quiet excited about the whole thing!
