Test kits

I am lazy my lfs has been testing my water,its time I start myself . Are salifert worth the extra money,or are they all basically the same.Thanks

I started off using Red Sea kits. They seemed OK at the time. I decided to try a Salifert kit... You don't realize the difference until you try both.

The Salifert are reasonably easy to use, not very expensive and the test results are repeatable and accurate.

Also, Salifert has a forum here on Reef Central should you have any questions or problems.

you wont understand the value of salifert until you have the frustration of some of the cheaper kits.

so I recomend wasting 20-30 bucks on the cheap kits first then throw them away and buy salifert. :D ;)


the only salifert test kit I dont recomend is the PH
