Hi Nick

Could you tell me what settings you have your camera set to that give you the best pictures under the artificial lighting of an aquarium setup.

OK Ill admit:D , I havent got around to reading the Bible of an instruction manual Re: settings, was hoping for a few quick setting "pointers" to tide me over till I get some time to read same.

Thanks.

Brian.

I have a Coolpix 800 and I just got the Tiffen +7, +10 lens kits. Using the manual mode you can throw away the settings and use the LCD screen to adjust focus. For the small price (about $50) it's worth it. Set you camera to flourescent lighting and turn off the flash. I'm getting better with each picture I take. Good Luck Chris

I found auto, macro, and the lens pressed flat against the glass works the best.... also don't zoom out all the way.

I haven't figured out how to do the manual focus yet... gotta read that long manual still :)

Johnny, If 880 is the same as the 800 you set the camera in manual mode, hold down the distance button and use the zoom in / out buttons to adjust the distance.
