Food??

OKay we have a purple firefish and a clown goby that are very bashful and will not come out of the rock and will rarley eat. Is that just the nature of these fish and what do you recommend to feed them? We right now are feeding flake and on occasion we feed them brine shrimp.

Both are shy and docile but will adapt and become more visible as they become more comfortable in their new surroundings.

The flake is a poor food and brine is even worse. Many flake foods contain fillers and fish often lose interest in unnatural food.
Brine has little to no nutritional value and is the equivalent of feeding children candy bars for their dinner.

Fresh seafoods from your local deli are cheap and nutritious. Shred into bite sized chunks and feed to proportion.

Other complete foods such as formula 1 & 2, mysis, or plankton are good. If you continue to get brine ensure it is enriched with spurlina.
