Hey everyone..I was over someone's house today and they had this gorgeous fish. When I asked what it was they called it a "jeweled damsel". Well I can't find anywhere to buy one. Is this the proper name or is it called something else as well? It looked like a yellow tailed damsel with light blue spots on it. Thanks!

Would this be it?

Yeah that's it! I searhed for it on there and couldn't find it. Maybe because I searched "jeweled" instead of "jewel". Thanks!

Avoid it if you don't have a large tank and Queen Trigger tankmates. Seriously, Jewels IMO are the nastiest damsel available, I have a different species than the one above the more common Jewel and it is 3 inches and attempts to pick on my Queen Triggers which are both 6 inches. They are aggressive little suckers. I regret the day I bought one but since he is a 209 I have absolutly NO way to get him out. Hoping one day maybe the Triggs will get so annoyed they will do something about it (I know its mean but they are serious little terrors). Anyway, hope this helps.

Oh that makes me sad to hear. I really thought it was a nice fish. Seemed pleasant in the tank it was in. Ah well. Thanks for the words of warning.

I have the same fish in my 55 reef and it has never been a problem, he/she is with a dwarf pigmy angel, a lawnmower blennie, a neon gobie, and a pair of clowns. eats constantly but has never touched a coral, its the usual thing, they are all different characters, go figure

Think the LFS would be ticked if I gave them personality tests before purchasing? HAHA
