Romaine issues

Question.... I used romaine (for the last time) for about 2 weeks to feed my tang. I removed it after a couple of hours but have developed a suspended bacteria bloom making the water cloudy. Flocculants and microns didnt help but a UV did, that's how I know it was a bacterial. The UV cleared it up very nicely but when I take it off (I have to take it off because I have no wet/dry and no room to 'hang it' up top for the long term.) Anyway, 3-4 days after I take it off, it reclouds. Can I get some of your recommendations for bacterial water treatments, has anyone had this happen before?
