Is there a particuliar species of pistol shrimp for this species of fish I understand the pink spotted shrimp goby is Cryptocentrus sp

The pistol shrimp which goes along with most of the gobies is Alpheus bellulus. Not the most colorfull one but the safest decission.

Does this shrimp have a 'common' name as most of the retailers here never use proper species names only 'common' names
ie like 'blue striped' or such not very helpful when you are trying to get a particuliar species

it porbably has, but as you can see in my profile I live in Europe and are not familiar with the english common names.
The A.bellulus is the most common species to get. If yougoogle for pic's (http://images.google.de/images?q=Alpheus+bellulus&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=de) with Alpheus bellulus you will find them.
