Ribon Eel

Hey,

I want to put a ribbon ell into my Reef tank. Does anyone have any experiences with keeping one? What do you think about that idea?

I have never kept one, but have known others that have attempted. Most aquarium literature rate them as quite difficult to care for. Which is a shame because they are so beautiful.

Ribbon eels are touchy critters that are difficult to feed. Many times they cannot be coaxed to eat anything at all in captivity. They also are expert escape artists (as are most eels though). I would only try and keep one if you consider yourself an EXPERT aquarist
