I'd very much like to place a clam in my 55 gallon tank. My water parameters are perfect. I have 4 X 65W PC light, two 8800K"s and two actinics. Which clam would you recommend, if any, and where do they like to live light-wise and current-wise?

Derasa will do alright with PC Light Not Maxima.

Would have to agree with just a deresa. They do well under pc lighting you have.

Where do Derasa clams like to be in the tank? How much or how little current?

Derasa like to be on the sand. As for current, probably moderate to low.

I have a maxima that doubled in size (from 1" to 2") under 220W of PC lighting (high up in a 60g tank).
It is now under metal halide (slowly adjusting to all that light :-).
