I've called every plumbing supply place in the phone book and no one's heard of them. Anyone know where I can find them online that delivers FedEx?

Thanks!

My guess is that the reason you havn't received an answer is because nobody knows what John Guest fittings are. Where did you get that name? I have been in the building business for a long time and never heard of them.

They're weird little fittings/connections on my AquaFX water filter. I'd never heard of them before either. But they certainly exist as mine are leaking to prove it :).

ok unscrew em, run to home depot -g et telfon tape

blue round thing with white tape inside

get it, wrap it around a few times the fitting.

then screw back on.

thats it.

Michelle,
If you need more fittings, just call AquaFX. I think you can probably just take the tube out, maybe clip the very end off and then re-insert the tube. I had a fitting that was leaking and I just used a different piece of tubing and the leak stopped.

If you want to try to find other sources for the fittings do a search on the Internet for "John Guest Fitting" I did that a while back and I think I got a pretty good selection.

try to just re-seat your existing tube.... although you have probably already done this.

at http://www.mcmaster.com they are found in a section titled Swivel and Rotating Joints under Pipe Fittings. They are most likely the John Guest brand but are not classified by the brand, instead by their description.

Thanks for the replies :)

Timbo - couldn't figure out which ones are the ones I would need. Will take Wayne's advice and try AquaFX.

Wayne - I have tried cutting and reseating them - they leaked even more!

Clyde - it's the other end of the fitting that's leaking - where the tubing goes in.

I have never ordered from them, but I found this page a while back when I was planning a 'project' They have pics and dimensions of most of the fittings and prices (good prices I might add compared to our local plumbing shop)

You should probably look into them if you are a plumber, if you don't do plumbing specifically then you would have little use for them.. From John Guest's information "John Guest are the world's largest manufacturer of push-in pipe fittings. " They have been around for eons..

(When your needs are less immediate)

U.S. Plastics carries John Guest. Their web site is pretty bad (www.usplastic.com) but their paper catalog has a few pages of John Guest fittings I recall.

Call (800)809-4217 for a catalog.
