Hello all,

Ive been searching the forums and cant find an answer to my question so here go's....

I noticed a couple days ago that my yellow watchman goby has a grayish color on the back of his head and it looks like the skin is coming off. Other than that he doesnt look stressed. He is still eating. Not sure what it is.

Parameters are as follows...

Salinity - 1.023-4
Trite-0
Trate-0
Am-0
temp-78

His only other tankmate is a yellowheaded jawfish and they are best buds.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Don't they change color from yellow to grey as they mature?

I just brought one home yesterday and noticed the same thing on his belly and by his tail. I have been worried 1) I have not had luck with any of my fish and 2) The guy at the lfs put him in the back with 1 lb. live rock and cup of sand. (He wouldn't come out if your wondering why he would do that).
