Why Does My Gorgonian Keep Getting Bubbles On It?

I have a green gorgonian that is placed at the top of my rock about 14" below a 250HQI bulb. For some reason it almost daily is covered with air bubbles. I use my baster to keep them off the best I can. Nothing else in the area has this problem. Is it some kind of reaction to the lighting?

My guess is that there is some cyano growing on it, or it is heavilly waxing. Both of these are caused by too little current blowing the gorg around. They should pretty noticeably sway in the breeze.
