Hyposalinity question

I have a purple tang that has an ick problem so I was thinking trying out the "hyposalinity" method. How will lowering the salinity in my tank affect the inverts, corals, etc? Thanks!

Hyposalinity works great for treating ich but you can NOT use it in a tank with corals and inverts. Check out this link, it should answer most of your questions.
