RED ALGEA IN REFUGIUM

i have a 2 month old refuguim with 4 microalgeas growing in it but in the past few days a red thread like algea is growing on the bottom of rubbermaid container and over some of the grape algea. i have also found a small patch on one of my rocks. i am tring to raise alk it was at 2.2. what else should i do.

sounds like cyano - my refugium went through it for 3-4 months. pita. Get the alk up. Keep yanking out the cyano - it'll eventually subside when the macros start taking over the tank.

check your circulation to. the more the better for now.
