Anyone here an old asteroids fan? I have been playing this game called Subspace for the last 6 years. Its an online "asteroids" game where you jump into an arena and basically dogfight everyone in there. You have teams and some arenas have missions such as defending a base, capture the flag, hockey, or just fight and get the best win/loss ratio. Best of all, the game is free!! its only like 6MB. OMIKRON is good for some laughs, and someday I may have time to play it again. I got Sim City 3000 as a gift, it looks great...but time is scarce these days. I got deep into Tomb Raider 3, but have also experienced a time shortage with that one.

The morale of the story is..."While I would rather play computer games, I have enough work-related "games"(boy do I feel polite)to prevent me from playing games. :D

American McGee's "Alice" is pretty awesome. 1st game in quite some time I actually got hooked on. Real TWISTED version of Alice in Wonderland. Trent Resnor of Nine Inch Nails did the music composition for the game.

I love CS :) used to play StarCraft and before that Ulitma Online. I know of a great CS server that I and some friends setup. When I get back home I will post the info.

The server is a 2 P3 933 with 1GB memory and gig connection to the internet.

Ya, CS is a great game. But people around here have gotten out of it. Takes the fun away when you cant go to school and make fun of your friend cause you smashed him in CS. O'well

Personally I'm a Civillization addict... Strategy games of all sorts are what I like...

That said, an old fashioned hack 'n slash is also fun at times. I had a great time with Diablo at first, but after a while it gets a titch boring and repetitive...

'Just got Exile~ I haven't had a chance to play with it very much yet, but so far it looks promising...

Black and White is fun, Age of Kings is good, Half-Life rocks (although I've gotten poor Gordon killed more times than I can count... &*$^%# aliens...)

If you're looking for a classic RTS... Total Annihilation with BSR's add-on Uberhack mod. 'Love those Lemmings and spider tanks.

If you like VirtuaFighter-type games there's another classic called Nightmare Creatures that's a blast. I highly recommend Brother Iggy when you just want slice and dice some defenceless zombies into chunks.

And, of course, nothing quite beats the Quake series for stress relief... There's just something about a nailgun...
