I'm looking to buy a 72" tank. The stand I have is 72" x 30"
I think that can accomodate as big as a 225g.
I'm looking for a deal. My lfs told me $350 (glass) drilled w/corner overflow. That's for brand spankin' new.
Can anyone make me a better offer?

Hey Srf, which LFS is this? I'm in OC too and $350 is a damned good deal.

Sure, 714-838-1862
They are in Tustin - I don't have the exact address handy but the cross streets are Newport Ave. / Old Irvine blvd.
Just go through the light where old Irvine blvd ends & they are in that shopping center.

I will have a 135 for sale as soon as my house goes through Escrow. The tank was purchased a year ago 72" x 18" x 24"

Have ya tried Recycler?

I have tried the recycler. I check it once a week.
Most people in there just want to sell a "package" which means the whole tank including livestock, lr, ls skimmer & all the other stuff. I just want a tank by itself.
But I guess I'm super cheap, but I'm in no hurry & I'm sure one will come along one day.

Becareful with fish 2k, he would charge you a fee for using your credit card. He used to have that notice by the register, I don't know about it now though. That is why I don't go there anymore.

Well, how much is the fee?

SurferStevo

The fee is not too bad I think it's like 3% or something. Frank says he has to do it because his bank charges him. You can write a check with no fees. That's what I usually do if I go in there & I don't have enough cash on me.

Basically, he is passing on the fee from the credit card company to you. and that is why I don't like it. Other retail stores don't do that. But that is his choice and I choose not to go there because of that...no big deal...it is just the principle of it.:D

Is Frank really busy or something? I called twice in a row and twice someone picked up and hung up before I could even say "hi".

It is very hard to get someone on the phone there... Just keep trying.. .I work in AV and it is easier just to go over there not too far and sometimes has some Okay frags... Fish on the other hand are cramed into the tanks there.. kinda sad...

Where do you work in AV? I work here too :). Also, I visited some other sites that had comments about Fish 2K. They all said Frank has great customer service in the store, but rarely ever answers the phone. LOL, guess I'll pop in for a visit.
