My Cleaner Wrasse

I recently bought cleaner wrasse and I noticed that for some reasons, every morning when the wrasse is still sleeping, I see weblike stuff around him. It looks likespider webs. I am curious what this is. Can anyone pls tell me about it thx

Many wrasses, cleaners included, secrete a mucous that forms a sort of cocoon around them at night. I believe it is a defense mechansim, designed to prevent predatory fish from locating the wrasse by smell. My lineatus fairy wrasse does the same thing and when he emerges in the morning it looks like a big blob floating in the tank.
