Prefered Mandarin?

Which mandarin do most people like, my personal favorite is your standard 'green' type, S. splendidus . I hear that many people have trouble keeping them, mainly because they won't eat, but I have never experienced this myself. Just wondering if this is true for most people?

i have two s. picturatus, psychedelic mandarinfish. they both started eating prepared food after about a year.one of them will eat almost anything that lands on the bottom, including flake. the owner of one of the lfs's that i go to actually came to my house just to see this.
