How big do these grow ?Some places say 2 inches and some say 4 inches!

IME, they get larger than 2 inches... I have bought them from the LFS larger than that. However, 4 inches might be pushing it.... I would say a little larger than 3 inches. :)

I have 5 in a 125g and my largest one is barely 3". I agree that 4" on this particular fish is a bit of a stretch. I have had mine for over 3 years.

i have 5 and the biggest one is about 3 inches and the tank is almost 2 years old
