i'm thinking of getting a power compact 2x65 for my 20g, one is daylight with 6700k and one actinic, my question is, most of the daylights have 10000k, is that makes a difference or just the 130watts total is good enough?

Hi Boonz,

The wattage stays the same. The "k" rating is based on the color spectrum. 10k delivers a much nicer (to some), crisp white with a tinge of blue. 6700k is a much more yellow color, I'm not a big fan of that myself, although I believe that the 6700k can promote faster coral growth than the 10k (Not sure on that).

IMO the 10k is much more pleasing to the eye, even with that I still needed some acitinic supplementation to my PC's. When I ran briefly with a 6700k and an acitinic blue, the color was still off for me.
