gb maroon clown misbehaving

I have a question that I hope someone can answer. I have a gb maroon clown, about 2.5 yrs in my tank, that has started kicking sand all over the place. I thought it was funny the first time or two but now I am cleaning off the rocks almost everyday. So far I am not keeping up and have lost a good amount of coraline algae from his blanket of sand on everything. Has anyone else had this problem and a possable cure? I have had him a long time and don't want to give him up but I don't want to lose anymore rock life or corals due to him.

LOL, feel fortunate it waited that long. Everyone I know with one they have done that practically from day 1 mine included.

My GB Maroons have always done this too. I keep my quick filters handy for when they over do it and cloud up the tank...It is an off and on thing.....
