I recently purchased some xenia that was propagated onto a man-mdae plug from my lfs. I wedged the xenia between some live rock. I had the xenia for about 3 days with no problems. On the 3rd day I found the plug had been knocked down to the bottom of the tank with the Xenia's missing. Is it possible that the Brittle starfish is responsible for eating it? Another thought was that the brittle starfish was climbing the rock and knocked over the plug and the Xenia broke away from the plug and was sucked up into my filters.

My other tank inhabitants that could be responsible is an Eibels dwarf angel, blue damsel, and a maroon clown.

I have other coral in my tank and have not had a problem. (Open brain, Capanella, polyps, mushrooms, cabbage coral)

I really want to get another xenia but I want to know prior to getting it if there is something in my tank that caused this or if I just need to make sure the coral is wedged real good between the live rock.
