Greetings

I'm going to be moving a 65 gal tank and stand and all to Gainesville. Its not an established tank or anything, so its just the supplies, no livestock. Does anyone have any tips on moving this thing? I'll be using a friend's pickup truck, and will just pad it and strap it down as best I can otherwise. If you've ever done this, let me know, I could probably use some pointers.

Thanks

Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

When our son graduated from FSU, we got the privelige of helping move his tank home for a while.......Livestock and all.... with no casulties.
We filled 4 Rubbermaid 18 gallon containers with the substrate, water and fish (FO no live rock). We loaded the tank on a thick packing blanket in the back of his pick up truck. And then wrapped a couple more blankets around it. Then we gently strapped it in with a couple of ratchet straps and packed some plastic bags full of linens around it. The straps were just tight enought to keep it from moving, but not too tight to break anything.

Hope this helps!

Good luck at school!
