View Full Version : (DFW) Breaking down reef in Dallas

Just don't have the time anymore to keep a reef tank up so I'm breaking it down. I'm posting this first round for those in the Dallas area because I really don't want to bother with shipping. Goes back to that time thing......

Whatever doesn't sell locally will be reposted in another thread and I will ship. However, I won't tag anything from this thread and hold it for someone when I post a shipping thread, just to much to keep track of, sorry.

Everything shown above with a purchase date has been running on the tank since it was bought. Can't get rid of the pumps or chiller until the livestock is gone but will hold them for you once a deal is made.

Current lights in the canopy of the stand are already spoken for.

Preference is not given by time emailed, it's given by accepted offer.

Please use email for all questions and offers dannyV_1964@yahoo.com

There is one very smart mantis shrimp in the live rock. I captured his brother the second month after I got the rock (12/01) but this guy is evasive to say the least. I also had to treat for flatworms in 2/03 then again 6/03.

jhammond,

Here's a pic of the sump I had with the tank. Pretty basic, just a place to sit the skimmer and heater, no filtration or boi balls set up. I a return pump and a pump for the skimmer plummed through the sides of sump.

The glass has a few deep scratches in the front. Also has circular scratches from trying out a new algee magnet.

How bad are the scratches?
Would you consider less if the scratches are bad and somebody came by to get the tank, stand and canopy?

Thanks,

For those who have asked about the scratches:

The tank has 3 deep scratches on the front glass. They're between 2 and 4 inches long. It also has lighter circular type scratches caused by an alge magnet that had some sand in the pad.
