Setting up a 180g reef to be dominated by SPS (Montis are my favorite!) and clams.

I'm currently acquiring three 250W HQI DE pendants w/ AB 10000K bulbs.

Would you run actinic supplementation (VHO or T5) in addition? or just run the MH alone?

I know there's no right or wrong answer, I'm just looking for opinions...

I would get the T5 actinics if you can afford it to supplement. Your tank inhabitants' colors will flouresce a lot more with the actinics compared to the MHs alone. You could just do 20Ks and forget the actinics altogether. Its personal taste though.

I run 3x175 watt 10k AB bulbs with 2x95 watt VHO 03 actics and it looks perfect to me, Its not yellow or blue just white.
When I turn the actinics off it has a slight yellow color and everything is kind of dull looking.
