This hermit has been in the same spot on the ill Galaxea for 10hours or so.

Ron, this is the one I've been feeding baby artemia because of the bleaching. The coral still opens but is still whitish. My new concern is the hermit's interest in this area of the animal, is there someting necrotic there? :(

Hey Mark, just a quick note to tell that i had a cleaner shrimp that took a liking to my Glaxea and kept harassing it tell it started to bleach. This coral died back about 90% of its tissue. The shrimp was removed and the coral is starting to make a full recovery.Ramman.

Ramman, the coral started to bleach do to being moved from the lfs owners tank, to the store tank, to my tank, i believe. It was bleaching before the hermit took interest.

Thanks for your response.

Hi Mark,

The hermit may be just sitting there.

On the other hand.... it may be eating tissue there.

If it were me, I'd remove the hermit.

:D
