My bta went on the move 2 days ago. It moved toward the underside of a ledge (shaded) . It footed under the ledge but extended out into a well lit area. Today the whole thing is out in the light, it is extended but "listless" the foot is spred out between 2 rocks and I can see a large hole through the center of the foot:eek1:  . Is it splitting or dieing?
water params are all within reason aand it has been (until 2 days ago) content to sit in the same well lit spot and is fed daily by the clown that hosts in it. It has been very large and very dark in color.

Sounds like it is splitting to me. They usually "hide" just before splitting.

Does it look like this? Kinda violent right?

I'll agree with the consensus. Sounds like typical splitting behaviour.

Whoa, nice Darren. Someday, in my future tank, I'd like to have an anemone so I can see such success.
