Macro algea I got from Maine

this morning I grabbed some macro, and I checked the bag on the way home and noticed some pods swimming around. Is it ok to add them to my tank or should I not do that? They look like the ones I already have in the fuge (and tank).

Not sure what harm/help they could do but the odd time I've added some to my tank my Blue spot Jawfish takes them out before they have a chance to realize what's happened so, good food...?
