Id wanted

I have in my sandbed. Two things sticking up that look like pieces of hair. On one of them I have seen a thinner piece come out of the top and extend into the current and wave around.
Width is no bigger than a thin piece of hair, length maybe and inch?

I assume its some type of plankton eating worm. It does not retreat into the sand bed. the main part is always extended out of the sandbed.

any ideas.

Maybe a vermetid snail. They can look like worms. Follow the link for more info on 'em.

Nope its not a vermatid, or a spaghetti worm. I'll keep looking.
I thought I saw a picture of one somewhere but I can't place where.

I have seen these before. sorry, not sure what they are? If I can find a pic, of what I think it is, I will post.
