I just think trying to move this thing all the way to MA would be horrendous, 1200 lbs!!. I haven't driven thru NY in a while, but the roads used to be bad - I know they were redoing them. One bad bounce & you have $750 worth of scrap glass.

My other concern is, they cracked the back, who knows what other stress they subjected tank to while moving it?
I think if he was within 5-6 hrs drive (even 8 if in MD - my brother lives there), I would take the trip to see it, then decide.

I am holding off until we move unless a tank comes along at a good price. If this tank was in one piece it would be a good deal, but still pretty far to go, pretty big, AND one heavy SOB.

as long as the tank doesn't have any other cracks, the stresses previously put on it shouldn't be of any concern. Unless you are worried about the quality in general (if it cracked once..)
