I lost power this morning, while I was out.
One of my valves failed - the ones that are supposed to operate for 150,000 hours and the of course it HAD to be the one that has the lowest return to the tank.

So long story short, I lost about 40-60 G of water out of my 180 tank into the basement floor.

I am making up rodi water right now and have a dolphin pump in the tank.

Should I replenish the tank ASAP or wait and let the rodi water and salt "cure" overnight?

So, what did you do? If possible it's nice to wait. But if an emergency I would have added. I would bring salinity of mix to under what tank was. It usually rises as salt fully dissolves.
I would I think mix it for a couple hours if possible (as long as possible).

Well, I ended up losing so much water out of the tank that my 55G rubermaid wasn't enough. SO I put the first bucket into the sump and let it desulve there and come to temp.

I made enough water overnight to be able to top off.
I used a dolphin 2100 to mix the water for about an hour.

It was pretty funny, the pump actually created a vortex in the trash can, but it mixed the salt just fine.

I topped it off and filled the tank back up.

So far so good. I didn't lose any fish. A baby of one of my open brains died off and my frogspawn doesn't look good.

We'll see.
