Holy cow--that's nice! (for $145, it had better be)

It seems that more and more often vendors are putting out pictures with lots of actinics so the stuff looks colorful but it may not be exactly like that when you get it. Am I cranky today or what ? :D

I wonder what it looks like under normal lighting ?

The photo was apparently shot with actinic lighting.

Nice find Marvin, thanks for sharing !

Do any of our LFS's have any Yumas these days?

According to the web site it was taken under 400w 20K radium.

Who knows but it sure us pretty.

On another note I was a reefnrolls yesterday and what a nice tank with some beautiful ricordia among other nice corals. A real treat

Bec's tank is da bomb. I am planning on using it as leverage to get my wife to consent to a 180 (that is, if I can guarantee her it will look like Bec's!)

I think Bec's is actually a 120, but don't tell that to your wife :)

Hey wow dansch do the corals really grow better when you throw $$ at them..? ...

LOL. Yes, hers is a 120 but she and I agreed that nothing less than a 180 would do.

Besides, I figure I'll tell my wife that if my tank is 33% bigger, it stands to reasons that it will be 33% better! (I defy any reefer to find a flaw in this logic!)

Scuba Dave--I find that the sps prefer finely ground $20's mixed with a little selcon and golden pearls, but the fish and the softies seem happy with $5's and $10's.

I would say "... it will be *at least* 33% better"

Actually, Bec's is a 125g. and it is da bomb!!! Seeing her tank makes me want to work even harder. Her R yuma is sweet. I can't wait to get a frag. I am working on some leads now for some super R yuma.

I know its not a ricordia but it looks somewhat similar. This is the min carpet anemone that I got from sherry (who got it from Roby).

hi everyone,

just wanted to shed some more light onto that ricordea. it's taken under 20K radium bulbs with NO (as in NONE..hehe) atinics but we know how 20K's can make corals look more blue than usual. :)

it could also be my camera but a canon g3 should make no mistakes! (specially for the price i paid for it!) hehe.

in person, i would say it's more of a light green than the blue it looks like. i will take another picture and update it so people dont' get confused.

Thanks!

Johnny
