View Full Version : Reefkeeping And The Brs Gets Me A Job!

Greg Hiller

Through my contacts in reefkeeping I managed to get an offer from Wyeth in Andover which puts me back into a day job in Biotech again. HURRAY

Who would have thought that all the hightech headhunters, all my former bosses, former co-workers and internet position postings would turn out to be useless. Networking through the reefkeeping community lands the position.

FREE FRAGS FOR EVERYONE......just kidding! Well, maybe Xenia!!

So does that mean I get to nag you with reef questions all day long???? Sweet.

Congrats !!!

In Drug Substance ???

Just an FYI, it does appear that nanos are allowed at work :)
(until someone breaks a tank and plunges 10 gallons to the floor..............)

Now if we can get Dave's gf and Karl's fiancee signed up, this place will become a reefer paradise.

Rob,

>it does appear that nanos are allowed at work <

I had a 44 Pent at my last job! People would drop into my office quite often just to gawk, particularly when the clownfish started mating. I'd love to set it up again, but I'm not going to push it.

Interestingly enough, at my second interview, my 'future' boss asked a lot about the hobby.

We have 300 members right now? If we had 30,000 we could make fill our own underwater city in Fiji.

That is great to hear Greg!
I hope this is a sign of better luck for the BRS in their job searches.

1 down 30 or so to go.

Congrats Greg, way to add to the BRS population at Wyeth.

Maybe the guy who got you that interview should get a free frag or two... That would only be fair. (oh and note to others.. it wasnt me. lol...)

Hey Greg, congrats!! I'm over at Wyeth as well, I'll actually be seeing quite a bit of you cause I just found out a "Greg Hiller" got hired in my department, I'm actaully in the CMS group but we work very closely with BPD. Have fun with all the training you'll be enduring for the first few weeks you're here, it's tons of fun!!
Congrats again!

>Maybe the guy who got you that interview should get a free frag or two<

Actually, he....or they actually (long story)....will have a hefty little 'finders' fee coming from Wyeth. More than enough for a few frags I'd guess!!!

Thanks all for the congrats. I only have 3 more weeks to loaf!

I think Greg should maintain the tank of the person who helped him. And stock it, of course buy any additional equipment, 400 w MH lighting, etc.
