I think everyone loves these things, I never see them for sale used.

Indeed. Can't even find them on eBay.

not to hijack, but ifrag, what are you looking for the 2x150?

Keith, haven't decided about the price yet. I bought it 4/26 at Inland Reef for $689, it's less than 3 months of use so far. I'll post a thread when I am ready to sell it (around 2 weeks).

Ifrag,
If Keith doesn't go for it, I would be interested.

Tobyt I am very sorry to hijack your thread. Just wanted to say that there is one person that PMed me before Keith and Dennis. So right now Dennis you're in spot #2. To avoid further hijacking please pm me or post in the thread that shows up next week if hasn't been sold by then. Thank you all.

's all right. I'm looking for a 2 x 250W Aquaspace and I'm talking with the seller now. I'll probably just buy his entire system.

I might sell one of mine.

(I'm keeping the other one and a half.)

(with no free time, 3 reefs are hard to maintain)

How much are you looking to pay?

wow. more Aquaspaces available to buy than expected. I'm going to deal with the current seller I'm talking to first. If that doesn't work out, then I'll be back on this thread.

Is there a way to mount a Aquaspace light directly on the tank?
I would like to get one but I can't hang it and I can't mount a wall bracket at the location of my tank.

You can get a wall mounting system for the Aquaspace lights. They still hang though. You might be able to make some type of bracket to mount to a tank, but I am not to sure if it will work well. Those units get very hot.
Jalli makes similar systems, with T5 actinics (IMO a lot better) They DO come with braces to mount directly to the tank.

The two things I have heard about the Jalli is that they don't come in 48" (for my 55) and I have not read good things about the balust.

They do come in 48" 2 x 250HQIde + 2 x 54w T5 actinic. revamped ballasts as well. They ship in August.
As far as reliablilty of the ballasts. I would say they are about the same as the Aquamedics. I have seen about the same amount returned for roughly the same reasons. Both Jalli and Aquamedic are great about replacingor fixing, no problem. If you do a search you will find many problems with the Aquamedics over heating as well. Both are great products. I meerly suggested the Jalli because it can fit the particular application you mentioned.(it comes with a brace to mount it to the tank)

Now enough hijacking:D

is anyone selling an Aquaspace light?;)
