Hungry?

I don't really have too much in my tank, but I'm wondering if everything is getting the nutrition it needs. I have some ricordia, and some small mushrooms, a yellow leather, some zoos and star polyps, a serpent star, and a boxer shrimp.
I hear people talking about feeding their corals with turkey basters, and feeding them, what sounds like chum. Which corals need this special treatment? Is it anything I need to worry about at this stage in the game?

With the types of coral you have you should be paying attention to your calcium levels and alkalinity levels as the two affect one another. There also seems to be a consensus that iodine is also important for these. I feed my shrooms inadvertantly with my chunky puree of shrimp and scallop. They will eat whatever they catch or give them directly. The few fish I have clean up the rest.
