I know this is off topic. That picture you have under ur name looks like my gf..hehe...It surprised me for a while ..haha...I showed it to her and she agree also..hehe..but yeah...sorry to go off topic.

I am not sure what lifeguard temp lookslike, but i personally use the digital thermometer. This way I wont have to squint or try to figure out what my temperature is exactly. I dont use a ground probe. I havent had any problems without it but it dont mean there wont be a problem. Hope this helps.

think i saw old post. where you picking up your equip from? coral fish is a rip and they sell junk. i applied as a distributor just to get stuff cheap since it costs us an arm and a leg to bring stuff over. pm me and maybe we can help each other out. isn't your avatar an actor?

a digital only has the coolness factor. you need a lab grade for accuracy to calibrate. especially if you have a chiller. go here:

https://www3.carolina.com/onlinecatalog/Templates/Default/mainscreen2frame.asp?workspace=home&button=home

pick up the Fahrenheit total immersion. should cost about $12.95 shipped here.

catalog #: WW-74-5416

nah. no worry.. hehe....

hmm.. temp readings.. stilll deciding  still unsure hehe.. i didnt think it'll be that complicated.. seems like a lot of the products made by the 'fishy' vendors are not as accuarte as it seems

Do you have a chiller? If so, it should've came with a digital temp.

fyi...you're gonna need a chiller if you wanna keep a reef tank. It's just way too hot here. When my first chiller broke on me, I lost almost everything in my tank. Have you been thinking of getting one?

Wind

hey...
yah... but they run a bit... hehe .. i guess i will think about one in the near future.. ya.. full intentions of making a reef tank...
