glueing acrylic to glass

I have a glass sump tank and would like to partition the center, can I use a piece of acrylic and how or what would you use to glue it in place?

You use silicone that you can buy from Home Depot or such in the window sealing area. Be sure to check the labels for clear, 100% silicone. I used it in my DIY sump, applied liberally and let dry well between coats. It's been up for over a year w/no problems.
